“ I first encountered maman at the Moynihan Hall taking the train from NY to DC a few years ago. It was delicious & it still is every time. I always get a unique sweet treat. I wish I wasn’t drawn in, but as soon as I saw their logo, I had to take a peek at what maman had on display. I walked away thinking not today. Although everything looked good, what little self-control that I had fought until the bitter end, but my eyes took over and back I went. Once I asked what something was, I knew it was over! The Q&A went on for a few moments, until several items later, I somehow walked away this time with the following for me & my family: - a blueberry goat cheese scone - two of the famous chocolate chip cookies that are on Oprah’s list- they were good, but a tad hard. - a Mac & cheese croissant! It was delicious! I don’t know if they have them often or not, but if you Iike mac & cheese & croissants, you’ll love it! -a hazelnut beignet - nice pillowy beignet dusted w/ sugar & filled w/ hazelnut cream. -Nutella brownie - nice flavor I would absolutely go back to dine in the next time I’m at Western Market. If you like fancy treats and unique flavor combos, maman is a great destination to satisfy your sweet tooth! ”

We have been served with water as soon as we set down and as we finished and continued chatting, a very nice and kind lady - Claudia, picked our dishes with a smile and wished us a wonderful day What a great start of our day! ”
“ The interior of this place was so pretty! Staff was friendly, and someone immediately complimented the photo I took of the interior. Nicholas was also an amazing worker! He recommended me a pastry and it was absolutely delicious! I also got a lavender lemonade which hit the spot. If I’m ever in DC again I will come back! ”

“ This location is on the east side of Western Market. Maman’s fancy vibes don’t really match the rest of the Market, but the cafe relatively isolated so it doesn’t affect the experience. I had been to the Georgetown location before, and was impressed that this one was just as aesthetic and more spacious! Maman certainly prioritizes aesthetic—everything from the interior, to the coffee cups, and the pastries themselves are beautiful and cohesive—but taste is not sacrificed. I ordered a hot cardamom bun latte and the Valentine’s beignet to go. Honestly, I don’t really know what cardamom even is but it was great! Usually I like super sweet flavors, which cardamom is not, but I still really enjoyed the latte. The beignet was good as well. Their pastry assortment is very wide, so I would definitely like to come back to try more! I paid about 14 in total, which is a bit expensive for me. Also, the wait to get my latte was longer than I expected. But I do intend to return as a special occasion every once in a while, and I do recommend Maman overall. ”
